Sebuah family office mungkin perlu memantau sekuritas yang terdaftar, ekuitas swasta, properti, karya seni, utang, instrumen filantropi, dan bisnis operasional di berbagai negara. Tanpa gambaran terpadu, keputusan diambil berdasarkan informasi yang terpisah-pisah. Sebuah insiden kebocoran data tidak hanya dapat membahayakan aset, tetapi juga anggota keluarga, penasihat, struktur kepemilikan, dan keputusan pribadi. Bagi keluarga yang mengutamakan kerahasiaan, sistem keamanan yang lemah bukanlah sekadar kelemahan teknis. Hal itu merupakan kerentanan strategis.<\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Di mana teknologi membantu, dan di mana tidak<\/span><\/h2><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Kecerdasan buatan dan analitik akan membuat pelaporan kantor keluarga menjadi lebih efektif. Keduanya dapat membantu mengidentifikasi risiko konsentrasi, tekanan likuiditas, transaksi yang tidak biasa, atau perubahan dalam eksposur pasar. Selain itu, keduanya juga dapat mempermudah perbandingan manajer, analisis biaya, dan pengujian berbagai skenario.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Namun, kantor keluarga harus berhati-hati agar tidak menganggap bahwa semakin banyak data berarti penilaian yang lebih baik. Teknologi memang dapat mengorganisir informasi. Teknologi juga dapat mengidentifikasi pola-pola tertentu. Selain itu, teknologi dapat mengurangi pekerjaan manual. Namun, teknologi tidak dapat menentukan bagaimana sebuah keluarga seharusnya menyeimbangkan risiko, warisan, kendali, dan tujuan.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Oleh karena itu, kantor-kantor yang paling tangguh akan memanfaatkan teknologi secara tersembunyi. Bukan sebagai pertunjukan. Bukan sebagai daya tarik. Melainkan sebagai infrastruktur. Tujuannya bukanlah untuk menjadi \u201cdigital\u201d. Tujuannya adalah untuk menjadi lebih transparan, lebih aman, dan lebih siap.<\/span><\/p><h2 class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Penerusan informasi<\/span><\/h2><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Generasi mendatang tidak hanya akan mewarisi harta benda. Mereka juga akan mewarisi sistem, catatan, kewajiban, keputusan, dan terkadang masalah yang belum terselesaikan. Harta warisan yang tidak didokumentasikan dengan baik dapat menjadi sumber kebingungan. Kantor keluarga terbaik tetap akan bergantung pada penilaian, loyalitas, dan kerahasiaan. Namun, di dunia yang semakin kompleks, kerahasiaan saja tidaklah cukup. Kekayaan yang tidak dapat dipahami dengan jelas tidak dapat dikelola dengan baik.
